I completed my PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University, and my BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from University of Colorado Denver. I also previously was a postdoctoral researcher at the Weizmann Institute of Science and a visiting researcher at the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). I’m interested in mechatronics and neurophysiology for rehabilitation and assistive wearable devices including prostheses and exoskeletons, with emphasis on mechanical design, shared and semiautonomous control, computer vision, and human motor control, for improved intent recognition and human-machine interaction.
I’m an early career assistant professor in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Technion, and I hope to continue working towards the development of assistive and rehabilitation robots and increased understanding of how neurological disorders affect function and behavior. My research aims to improve the control and human-robot interaction for users of these devices and ultimately to aid individuals with physical and neurological pathologies.
I’m also passionate about learning, STEM outreach in my community, and being creative.
